Hannah Lane is a contemporary mixed media artist celebrated for her bold use of color and dynamic, collage-like layering. A Louisiana native and graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design, Hannah draws deep inspiration from the vibrant landscapes, diverse cultures, and heartfelt sense of family and community found in her southern roots. Her work blends pigmented Japanese papers, expressive line work, and rich washes of acrylic paint to create textured, energetic paintings. Each collection reflects her love for nature, storytelling, and community—an invitation to explore the beauty of her inner imagination. Hannah is represented by some of the top galleries in the Southeast, and her paintings are collected privately and in corporate spaces across the country. She also loves working one-on-one with collectors to create meaningful, custom pieces. After living and painting in Italy and New Orleans, Hannah now calls Nashville home, where she is part of a thriving art community. When she’s not painting in her home studio, you’ll find Hannah hiking with her boys, reading, or cooking up something seasonal and delicious! The crowd series is one of my most iconic collections, inspired by my big, beautiful Louisiana family and the joyful spirit of southern gatherings. I grew up surrounded by cousins, friends, and neighbors—many from families as large and lively as my own—where faith and family were at the heart of everything. Over the past 12 years, this series has evolved with new patterns, papers, and symbols that reflect the changing seasons of life. Each crowd painting is a kind of meditation, a reflection on the deep truth that we’re all connected. Rich with personal symbols and intuitive mark-making, these pieces push the boundaries of mixed media and invite you to see something familiar in a new way. Whether you're drawn to the vibrant energy, the quiet details, or the sense of belonging they evoke, each crowd carries its own unique aura—waiting for the right person to bring it home.
