Tony Sobota

Tony Sobota is a Nashville-based painter and muralist greatly influenced by the city’s rapidly changing urban landscape. Forming his interests into an ongoing series of architectural studies, rhythmically structured color grids, and free-form improvisations, he has exhibited regionally for over a decade and locally with the Nashville Artist Collective since 2020. His commissioned work often reflects the character of the environments he depicts, as seen in his work for the Nashville Soccer Club (2021), the Music City Center (2024), and the Nashville International Airport (2025). Through both personal and commissioned work, Sobota aims to make the familiar feel fresh—connecting viewers more deeply to a sense of order, identity, and place.
